About Dr. Molly Hart

Dr. Molly Hart (Owner/Therapist)

Hi there — I’m Dr. Molly Hart

I’m a Florida native who grew up on the beaches of Anna Maria Island in a big, loud, loving Italian Catholic family. My childhood was full of freedom, ocean air, competitive sports, and conversations about everything — faith, health, relationships, responsibility, and caring for the body God gave us.

Those early years shaped how I see people: whole, valuable, and worthy of being heard.

Physical therapy first entered my life through my oldest brother, who has cerebral palsy. I watched how compassionate, skilled care could completely change someone’s quality of life. Later, after tearing my ACL and meniscus as a competitive athlete, I experienced rehabilitation from the patient side.

I knew then that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people rebuild strength and confidence in their bodies — without defaulting to medication or quick fixes.

The Turning Point

While I was in college, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I attended treatments with her and witnessed both the strength of a woman fighting for her life and the frustration of navigating a system that often made her feel like just another number.

That season marked me.

I decided that if I was going to work in healthcare, I would treat people differently — with time, dignity, and deep listening.

During physical therapy school at the University of South Florida, I completed a clinical rotation at the VA’s Comprehensive Chronic Pain Program. That experience transformed how I understood pain. I saw clearly that chronic pain is not “in someone’s head,” but it is also not just a single muscle or joint.

It is complex.
It is layered.
And it requires a thoughtful, whole-person approach.

That understanding became the foundation of my work.

Why Pelvic Health

As I began practicing, I noticed something heartbreaking:

Women and men with chronic pelvic pain were being dismissed.

They were told everything looked normal.
They were rushed through appointments.
They were given little guidance and a lot of confusion.

But they were NOT fine.

They were in pain.
They were isolated.
And they often felt embarrassed or ashamed.

I felt deeply called to step into that space.

After graduating in 2017, I immersed myself in pelvic health training and completed extensive coursework through the American Physical Therapy Association. I trained under experienced pelvic health mentors and committed myself to understanding complex conditions like vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, and persistent postpartum pain.

This wasn’t just a specialty — it became a mission.

Personal Understanding

After the birth of my daughter in 2020, I sustained my own pelvic floor injury and had to walk through rehabilitation personally. Experiencing vulnerability in my own body deepened my empathy in ways textbooks never could.

That same season brought profound personal loss and hardship for my family. It was a time that strengthened my faith, reshaped my perspective, and taught me how to sit with pain — without rushing it.

Those experiences do not define my practice.

But they do shape how I hold space for others.

When you sit across from me, you are not sitting with someone who is uncomfortable with hard conversations. You are sitting with someone who understands that healing is physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Why Pelvic Balance Physical Therapy Exists

Traditional clinic models often limit what is possible in chronic pelvic pain care — short visits, long waitlists, and systems that don’t allow for true depth.

I wanted something different.

So I created Pelvic Balance Physical Therapy to provide:

• Extended one-on-one sessions
• A structured chronic pain framework
• Direct communication between visits
• Education so you understand your body
• A calm, individualized environment

We are not a volume-based clinic.

We are a focused, relationship-based specialty practice designed specifically for complex pelvic pain.

What Matters Most

If you choose to work with us, you will be:

Heard.
Taken seriously.
Given a clear plan.
Supported along the way.

You are not broken.
You are not “too complicated.”
And you are not alone.

Chronic pelvic pain requires expertise, structure, patience, and compassion.

It is an honor to do this work.

With love and steadiness,
Dr. Molly Hart, PT, DPT
